Students' projects

Nelson Mandela. Public domain
The Commonwealth Territories project
This is a project my upper-intermediate students did with  Glogster, a tool for creating glogs or digital posters. The students had to research a country from the Commonwealth and do an oral presentation in class.

Here you will find my own glog, or poster. It is about South Africa. But first, try this quiz:
  1. How many official languages are spoken in South Africa?
  2. What is Afrikaans?
  3. Who wrote The Lord of the Rings and was born in South Africa?
  4. Who was an anti-apartheid revolutionary?
You can now visit my glog and find the answers to the questions in the quiz.
Don't forget to check the link to the students' glogs.

I hope you enjoy it!

Crime
This is a project that my advanced students presented with Power Point.

They had to research a crime that shook the world and present it in class.
Students had to do extensive work on vocabulary and reading.

Here you will find some PowerPoint presentations that some students have kindly agreed to share. This work is shared under the Creative Commons Licence: Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND).
